Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation.

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall area. Ensure it is clean, dry, and can support the weight. Avoid damp areas or direct sunlight if possible.
  2. Mark Bracket Positions: Hold the frame against the wall at desired height. Use a pencil to mark the top edge. Use the spirit level to ensure it is horizontal. Mark the screw hole positions through the mounting brackets.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at marked positions using the correct drill bit for your wall type (e.g., masonry bit for brick/concrete).
  4. Insert Wall Plugs: Gently tap the supplied wall plugs into the drilled holes until flush with the wall.
  5. Attach Brackets: Align the mounting brackets with the holes. Use the supplied screws and screwdriver to securely fasten the brackets to the wall. Do not overtighten.
  6. Hang the Frame: Carefully lift the poster hanger frame and hook it onto the mounted brackets. Ensure it is securely seated and level.

WARNING! If mounting on plasterboard/drywall, ensure you use appropriate anchors rated for the weight. The provided plugs are for solid walls.

Inserting & Changing Posters

To insert or change the displayed poster:

  1. Open the Frame: Gently pull the bottom edge of the frame away from the wall. The acrylic front is hinged at the top and will swing open.
  2. Place Poster: Lay your poster flat against the rear backing panel. Ensure it is centered and straight.
  3. Close the Frame: Swing the acrylic front back into place. Press firmly along the bottom edge until you hear a click, indicating it is securely closed.
  4. Check Alignment: View from the front to ensure the poster is correctly positioned and the acrylic is clean.

Tip: For best results, trim poster to recommended size before inserting. Handle posters with clean, dry hands.

Mounting Options & Tips

Wall Types: Suitable for solid walls (brick, concrete). For plasterboard, use specialized hollow-wall anchors.

Height Recommendation: Center of the poster should be at approximate eye level (around 145-150 cm from the floor).

Creating a Gallery Wall: Multiple VISBÄCK hangers can be mounted in a grid or column. Plan layout on floor first, then transfer measurements to wall.
