Installation Instructions

Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, Voltage tester, Wire strippers/cutters, Pencil, Level.

  1. Prepare the Area: Choose location near a standard single-gang wall electrical box. Ensure box is securely mounted.
  2. Turn Off Power: Go to your home's electrical panel and turn off the circuit breaker powering the wall box. Use a voltage tester to confirm power is off at the wires.
  3. Remove Old Fixture (if any): Disconnect and remove any existing wall light.
  4. Check Wires: You should have three wires in the box: Live (Brown/Black), Neutral (Blue/White), and Earth/Ground (Green/Yellow or bare copper).

Tip: Have a helper hold the lamp during wiring for easier installation.

Mounting the Lamp

  1. Attach Bracket: Pass the lamp's wires through the center hole of the metal mounting bracket. Align the bracket over the wall box.
  2. Secure Bracket: Using the two provided long screws, secure the bracket to the threaded holes on the top and bottom of the wall electrical box. Do not overtighten.
  3. Level: Use a level to ensure the bracket is straight before fully tightening the screws.

WARNING! The bracket must be securely fastened. It supports the weight of the lamp.

Electrical Connection

Connect the lamp wires to the house wires inside the electrical box.

  1. Strip Wires: If necessary, strip about 10mm of insulation from the end of each house wire.
  2. Connect:
    • Connect the lamp's BROWN wire to the house LIVE (Brown/Black) wire.
    • Connect the lamp's BLUE wire to the house NEUTRAL (Blue/White) wire.
    • Connect the lamp's GREEN/YELLOW wire to the house EARTH (Green/Yellow or bare copper) wire.
  3. Secure: Use approved wire connectors (not supplied) to make each connection. Ensure no bare wire is exposed. Tuck the connected wires neatly into the wall box.

CAUTION! Incorrect wiring can cause electric shock or fire. If in doubt, consult an electrician.

Attaching the Shade

  1. Position Shade: Align the plastic shade with the mounted bracket. There are usually slots or screw holes on the back of the shade.
  2. Secure Shade: Insert and tighten the two smaller provided screws (or clips) through the shade and into the threaded holes on the bracket. Hand-tighten only.
  3. Attach Screw Cover: Snap the decorative screw cover/cap onto the front to conceal the mounting screws.
  4. Install Bulb: Screw a suitable max 7W E14 LED bulb into the socket. Do not overtighten.

Tip: You can gently adjust the angle of the shade after installation to direct the light.

Operation & Use

The lamp is controlled by the wall switch connected to the electrical circuit.

  1. Restore Power: Once assembly is complete and the area is clear, turn the circuit breaker back on at the electrical panel.
  2. Test: Use the wall switch to turn the lamp on and off. The light should function immediately.
  3. Adjustment: The shade can be tilted slightly up or down by gently loosening the attachment screws, adjusting, and retightening.
  4. Dimmer: If connected to a dimmer switch, ensure you use a dimmable LED bulb for smooth operation.

WARNING! Allow the bulb and lamp to cool completely before touching or attempting to change the bulb.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug/turn off power and allow to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Shade: Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads.
  2. Metal Parts: Wipe with a dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a damp cloth with mild soap, then dry immediately.
  3. Bulb: Clean bulb only when cool with a dry cloth.

CAUTION! Do not immerse any part of the lamp in water or other liquids.
