  2. Tools You Will Need: Tape measure, pencil, jigsaw or hole saw, screwdriver, silicone sealant (100% silicone, waterproof), caulking gun, wrench set, safety glasses, work gloves.
  3. Additional Materials (not included): Drain assembly, faucet, water supply lines, plumber's putty or silicone gasket.

WARNING! Wear safety glasses and gloves when cutting countertop. Ensure work area is well-ventilated when using sealant.

Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before beginning installation.

  1. Turn off water supply and disconnect power to the kitchen area if necessary.
  2. Use proper lifting techniques; sink is heavy and edges can be sharp.
  3. Ensure countertop is clean, dry, and structurally sound before installation.
  4. Follow local plumbing and building codes.
  5. Keep children and pets away from the work area.

CAUTION! Stainless steel edges can be sharp. Handle with care to avoid cuts.

Installation Steps

Follow these steps for a secure and leak-free installation.

  1. Prepare the Countertop: Place the provided template on the countertop. Ensure it is centered over the cabinet and aligned correctly. Trace the outline with a pencil.
  2. Cut the Opening: Using a jigsaw with a fine-tooth blade, carefully cut along the traced line. Support the cutout section to prevent it from falling.
  3. Test Fit: Place the sink into the cutout from above (for top-mount) or below (for undermount). Ensure it fits snugly and is level.
  4. Attach Mounting Clips (Top-Mount): For top-mount sinks, attach the mounting clips to the underside of the sink rim according to the diagram. Position the sink in the cutout and tighten the clips from below to secure it to the countertop.
  5. Undermount Installation: For undermount sinks, apply a bead of silicone adhesive to the sink rim. Lift the sink into place from below and secure it with brackets or clips according to the instructions. Support the sink until the adhesive sets.

Tip: Have a helper assist with holding the sink during installation to ensure proper alignment.

Connecting Plumbing

Install the drain and faucet after the sink is securely mounted.

  1. Install the Drain Assembly: Apply plumber's putty or a silicone gasket to the underside of the drain flange. Insert the flange into the drain hole from the top. From below, attach the rubber gasket, friction ring, and locknut. Tighten securely.
  2. Connect the P-Trap: Attach the tailpiece to the drain assembly. Connect the P-trap to the tailpiece and the wall drain pipe. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final quarter-turn. Do not overtighten.
  3. Install the Faucet: Insert the faucet through the pre-drilled hole in the sink or countertop. From below, attach the mounting nuts and water supply lines. Connect the supply lines to the hot and cold water shut-off valves.
  4. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the water supply. Check all connections (drain, P-trap, faucet supply lines) for any leaks. Tighten connections slightly if necessary.

WARNING! Ensure all plumbing connections are secure to prevent water damage. Test for leaks thoroughly.

Sealing & Waterproofing

Proper sealing is critical to prevent water damage to the cabinet below.

  1. Top-Mount Sinks: Run a continuous bead of 100% silicone sealant along the underside of the sink rim before placing it into the cutout. After securing with clips, apply another bead of sealant along the joint between the sink rim and the countertop. Smooth with a wet finger.
  2. Undermount Sinks: The primary seal is the adhesive bead applied during mounting. After the sink is secured, you may apply a bead of sealant along the interior seam where the sink meets the countertop for added protection.
  3. Cure Time: Allow the silicone sealant to cure fully (refer to product label, typically 24 hours) before using the sink or getting the area wet.

CAUTION! Use only 100% silicone sealant. Do not use acrylic or latex caulk as it is not waterproof.

Care & Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your stainless steel sink.

Tip: Placing a mat or rack in the bottom of the sink can help prevent scratches from pots and pans.
