Assembly Instructions

Estimated assembly time: 30-45 minutes. Requires two adults.

  1. Prepare Area: Lay out all parts on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratches.
  2. Attach Headboard & Footboard: Connect the short sides to one long side using wooden dowels and bolts. Do not fully tighten yet.
  3. Add Second Long Side: Connect the remaining long side to complete the rectangular frame. Ensure all corners are square.
  4. Tighten All Joints: Fully tighten all bolts and screws using the provided Allen key.
  5. Install Mattress Support: Insert the mattress support frame into the slots on the long sides. Secure with provided screws.
  6. Final Check: Rock the crib gently to ensure it is stable and does not wobble.

CAUTION! Do not leave child unattended during assembly. Keep small parts away from children.

Mattress Height Adjustment

The mattress support can be set at three different heights.

To Adjust: 1. Remove mattress. 2. Unscrew mattress support frame from one side. 3. Lift or lower frame to desired slot. 4. Re-secure screws tightly on both sides. 5. Replace mattress.

For safe sleep environment.

Placement: Place crib on a level floor, away from direct sunlight, heaters, air conditioners, windows, and wall decorations. Ensure there are no cords (blind/electrical) within 3 feet.

Mattress: Use a firm, flat mattress that fits snugly. Sheet should be tight-fitting.

Sleep Position: Always place baby on back to sleep.

Toys & Bedding: Use a wearable blanket instead of loose blankets. Remove all soft objects when baby is sleeping.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug? Not applicable. For wooden crib:

  1. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Wipe dry immediately.
  2. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or ammonia-based products.
  3. Check for splinters or rough spots periodically. Sand lightly if needed.

CAUTION! Never soak or submerge any part of the crib. Avoid excessive moisture.

Converting to Toddler Bed (Optional)

When child is ready to transition (typically around 18-36 months).

  1. Purchase the IKEA SMÅGÖRA toddler bed conversion kit if required.
  2. Remove one long side of the crib according to kit instructions.
