Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble the lamp components before wall mounting.

Attach socket to bracket: Place the socket into the metal bracket. Secure with the provided small screw using a Phillips screwdriver.
Connect wires: If not pre-connected, attach the lamp cord wires to the socket terminals (follow color coding: brown/live to L, blue/neutral to N). Ensure connections are tight and no bare wire is exposed.
Attach bamboo shade: Carefully place the bamboo shade over the socket assembly. It should click or screw into place gently. Do not force.

WARNING! Ensure the lamp is unplugged during assembly. Do not overtighten screws on the bamboo.

Mounting to Wall

Choose a suitable location on a solid wall (not plasterboard alone).

Hold the wall bracket against the wall at desired height. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark screw holes with a pencil.
Drill holes at the marks using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type (use wall plugs for masonry).
Align the bracket with the holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.
Hang the assembled lamp unit onto the wall bracket. It should engage securely. Gently tug to confirm it is stable.

CAUTION! The wall must support the weight of the lamp. For heavy walls, consult a professional. Avoid mounting near curtains or flammable materials.

Electrical Connection

This step must be performed by a qualified electrician if you are unsure.

Ensure the wall power is switched OFF at the circuit breaker.
Connect the lamp's power cord to your household wiring according to local electrical codes. Typically: Brown (Live) to Live, Blue (Neutral) to Neutral, and Green/Yellow (Earth) to Earth if present.
Secure all connections with appropriate wire connectors and insulate properly.
Once connected, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operation

To use the lamp:

Insert the correct bulb (see Specifications). Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
Plug the cord into a wall outlet (if not hardwired).
Use the inline switch on the cord to turn the lamp ON/OFF.
For ambient lighting, position the shade as desired; it is fixed but can be oriented during mounting.

Tip: Use a warm white LED bulb for energy efficiency and to prevent excessive heat on the bamboo shade.

Care & Maintenance

To clean and maintain your lamp:

Unplug or switch off power at the breaker before cleaning.
Use a dry, soft cloth to dust the bamboo shade and metal parts.
Do not use water, liquid cleaners, or abrasive materials on the bamboo.
