Safety Information
Read all instructions before assembly. Use proper lifting techniques.
- Work Area: Assemble on a clean, flat, protected surface.
- Lifting: Cabinet is heavy; use two people to avoid injury.
- Wall Mounting: MUST be securely attached to wall studs using provided brackets to prevent tipping.
- Children: Keep small parts away from children during assembly.
- Power Tools: Use caution if using electric screwdriver; do not overtighten.
WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. Always secure this cabinet to the wall.
Assembly Instructions
Follow steps in order. Do not fully tighten cam locks until frame is squared.
- Attach sides to bottom: Insert dowels (F) into bottom panel (C). Align side panels (A, B) and tap gently with hammer. Insert cam lock screws (E) from inside and turn 90° clockwise to lock (do not fully tighten yet).
- Attach top panel: Repeat step 1 to attach top panel (C) to side panels.
- Square the frame: Ensure all corners are 90°. Use a measuring tape to check diagonal measurements; they should be equal. Fully tighten all cam locks.
- Install back panel: Place frame face down. Position back panel (D) into grooves. Secure with provided small nails or screws into pre-drilled holes.
- Attach adjustable feet: Screw feet (I) into bottom panel at each corner.
Tip: Lay frame on a soft blanket during assembly to prevent scratches.
Mounting to Wall
This is a critical safety step to prevent tip-over.
- Locate wall studs: Use a stud finder to locate solid wood studs. Mark their positions with a pencil.
- Position cabinet: Place assembled cabinet in its desired location. Use level on top to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Adjust feet as needed.
- Attach mounting brackets: Secure the provided metal brackets (G) to the inside top rear of the cabinet frame using screws.
- Secure to wall: Hold cabinet firmly against wall, aligning brackets with wall stud marks. Drive the long wall attachment screws (H) through bracket holes and into the wall studs. Tighten securely.
- Final check: Gently try to pull cabinet away from wall. It should not move. Re-check level.
CAUTION! Do not rely on drywall anchors alone. Screws MUST go into wooden studs.
Adjusting Doors & Drawers
For optimal function, doors and drawers (sold separately) may need adjustment after installation.
- Door Alignment: Use a 4mm Allen key to turn hinges. Vertical adjustment: screw on hinge arm. Depth adjustment: screw on hinge plate.
- Drawer Alignment: Adjust the runner mechanism at the rear of the drawer. Loosen screws, reposition drawer front, and retighten.
- Soft-Close Feature: If equipped, ensure dampers are engaged. If door/drawer slams, check that damper arm is not obstructed.
Note: Refer to the specific door/drawer instruction manual for detailed adjustment steps.
