Safety Instructions

WARNING! Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage.

  1. Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum load of 15 kg (33 lbs) evenly distributed.
  2. Wall Type: Ensure the shelf is mounted to a solid wall (concrete, brick, or studs). Do not mount on plasterboard alone without proper anchors.
  3. Child Safety: Do not allow children to climb or hang on the shelf.
  4. Two-Person Job: Assembly and installation are easier and safer with two people.
  5. Check Stability: After installation, test the shelf's stability before placing items on it.

Assembly Steps

Assemble the shelf components before wall mounting.

  1. Identify Parts: Lay out all parts (A, B, C) on a soft surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach Brackets to Shelf:
    • Place the shelf board (A) upside down on a protected surface.
    • Align the left wall bracket (B) with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the shelf.
    • Insert and hand-tighten the provided screws (D). Do not fully tighten yet.
    • Repeat for the right bracket (C).
  3. Final Tightening: Ensure both brackets are parallel and flush. Fully tighten all screws securely.
  4. Check Alignment: Turn the shelf over. The brackets should be perpendicular to the shelf board.

Tip: Do not overtighten screws, as this may strip the threads.

Wall Installation

This is the most critical step. Ensure the shelf is level and securely fixed.

  1. Choose Location: Select a wall area free of pipes and wires. Use a stud finder if mounting to wooden studs.
  2. Mark Bracket Positions:
    • Hold the assembled shelf against the wall at the desired height.
    • Use a pencil to mark the screw holes for both brackets through the holes in the brackets.
    • Use a level to ensure the marks are perfectly horizontal. Adjust if necessary.
  3. Drill Holes:
    • For solid walls (concrete/brick): Drill holes at the marks using a masonry bit slightly smaller than the wall plugs (E). Insert wall plugs flush with the wall surface.
    • For wooden studs: Drill pilot holes slightly smaller than the screw diameter.
  4. Mount the Shelf:
    • Align the bracket holes with the wall holes/plugs.
    • Insert the screws (D) and tighten firmly with a screwdriver until the bracket is snug against the wall. Do not overtighten.
    • Repeat for the second bracket.
  5. Final Check: Gently pull down on the shelf to test security. Place a level on top to confirm it is still horizontal.

CAUTION! If the wall material is uncertain, consult a professional. An improperly mounted shelf can fall.

Care & Maintenance

To keep your shelf in good condition:

  1. Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if needed. Dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  2. Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can damage the powder coating.
  3. Inspection: Periodically check the tightness of the screws and the stability of the wall mounting.

CAUTION! Do not use the shelf as a step ladder or work surface. Avoid placing wet or hot items directly on the surface.
