Safety Instructions

WARNING! Read all instructions before beginning assembly.

  1. Work Area: Assemble on a clean, flat, protected surface to avoid scratches.
  2. Lifting: The assembled chest is heavy. Use two people to move it.
  3. Children: Keep small parts away from children during assembly to prevent choking.
  4. Stability: Secure the chest to the wall using appropriate furniture anchors (not included) to prevent tipping.
  5. Inspect Parts: Check for damaged or missing parts before starting. Do not force parts together.

Assembly Steps

Follow the steps in order. Do not fully tighten screws until the frame is square.

  1. Step 1 - Frame Sides: Attach side panels (A1, A2) to the bottom panel (D) using cam locks (K) and dowels (L). Ensure the pre-drilled holes align.
  2. Step 2 - Back Panel: Slide the back panel (B) into the grooves on the side and bottom panels. Secure with wood screws (M).
  3. Step 3 - Top Panel: Place the top panel (C) onto the side panels. Secure from underneath using the remaining cam locks and dowels.
  4. Step 4 - Square the Frame: Ensure the chest is square by measuring diagonally from corner to corner. Adjust if necessary, then fully tighten all cam locks.
  5. Step 5 - Install Drawer Runners: Attach the drawer runner sets (J) to the inside of the frame according to the markings. Ensure they are level and parallel.

Tip: Lay a soft cloth under the panels during assembly to prevent surface damage.

Drawer Installation

Assemble and install the three drawers.

  1. Drawer Assembly: For each drawer, connect the left side (F), right side (G), and back panel (H) to the drawer front (E) using dowels and cam locks. Slide the drawer bottom (I) into the groove and secure it.
  2. Attach Knobs: Screw the knobs (N) onto the center of each drawer front from the front side.
  3. Install Drawers: Slide the matching runner parts onto the drawer sides. Carefully align and push the drawer into the frame until it clicks into place. Test each drawer for smooth operation.
  4. Alignment: If a drawer sticks or is uneven, slightly loosen the runner screws, adjust the drawer, and retighten.

Care & Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and longevity of your pine chest:

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or steel wool on the wood surface.
