Installation Instructions
WARNING! TURN OFF POWER AT THE FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE BEGINNING.
- Choose Location: Select a suitable ceiling or wall location. Ensure it is away from heat sources and flammable materials.
- Mark & Drill: Hold the mounting bracket against the surface. Mark the positions of the screw holes. Drill holes and insert wall plugs (if needed).
- Mount Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
- Prepare Wires: At the installation point, you should have three wires from your household circuit: Live (L/brown/black), Neutral (N/blue/white), and Earth/Ground (⏚/green-yellow).
- Connect Wires (See next section): Proceed to electrical connection.
- Attach Lamp: Once wires are connected and safely tucked into the junction box, align the lamp body with the mounting bracket. Secure it according to the design (e.g., twist, clip, or use locking screws).
Electrical Connection
MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
- Ensure power is OFF.
- Connect the lamp's wires to your household wiring:
- Lamp Live (L/brown) → Household Live (L)
- Lamp Neutral (N/blue) → Household Neutral (N)
- Lamp Earth (⏚/green-yellow) → Household Earth (⏚)
- Use appropriate wire connectors (e.g., screw terminal block, wire nuts) and ensure no bare wire is exposed.
- Secure all connections and wires neatly inside the ceiling/wall junction box.
Tip: Double-check connections against the wiring diagram often found on the lamp or its packaging.
Operation & Dimming
Once installed, restore power at the fuse box.
- Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the lamp's circuit.
- Dimmable Models: If your RAMSELE model is dimmable, use it with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Incompatible dimmers may cause flickering, buzzing, or reduced lifespan.
- If flickering occurs, try adjusting the dimmer's low-end trim setting or consult the dimmer's manual.
- Non-Dimmable Models: Do NOT connect to a dimmer switch. This will damage the LED driver.
Care & Maintenance
WARNING! ALWAYS TURN OFF POWER AND LET THE LAMP COOL BEFORE CLEANING.
- Unplug or switch off the circuit.
- Use a dry, soft cloth (e.g., microfiber) to dust the lamp shade and body.
- For more stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Wring it out thoroughly.
- DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays.
- DO NOT immerse the lamp in water or other liquids.
CAUTION! The LED light source is non-replaceable. Do not attempt to open or repair the luminaire.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
| Lamp does not light up | Power is off / Faulty switch / Loose connection | Check fuse/circuit breaker. Ensure wall switch is on. Verify all wire connections are tight. Contact an electrician. |
| Lamp flickers | Incompatible dimmer / Loose connection / Driver issue | If dimmable, check dimmer compatibility. Tighten all connections. If problem persists, the product may be faulty. |
| Buzzing sound | Incompatible dimmer / Transformer hum | Common with some dimmers. Try a different compatible dimmer model. |
| Reduced light output | End of LED life / Power supply issue | LEDs gradually lose brightness over time. If significantly dim, the product may need replacement. |
