Tools Required

Gather tools before starting installation.

Essential Tools: Tape measure, pencil, jigsaw with metal/wood blade, drill with 1/4" bit, screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), adjustable wrench, silicone caulk gun, level, safety glasses, gloves.

Optional/Helpful: Router with template guide, file/sandpaper for smoothing edges, clamps, bucket, rags.

Installation Steps

For undermount installation in solid surface or laminate countertop.

  1. Prepare Countertop: Place template on countertop, align with cabinet front, and trace outline. Drill starter hole inside outline for jigsaw blade.
  2. Cut Opening: Using jigsaw, carefully cut along traced line. Support cutout to prevent dropping. Smooth cut edges with file/sandpaper.
  3. Test Fit: With help, lift sink into opening from below. Ensure it sits flush with countertop underside; adjust opening if necessary.
  4. Apply Sealant: Run bead of 100% silicone sealant along top edge of sink flange (where it contacts countertop).
  5. Mount Sink: Position sink in opening. From below, attach mounting clips to sink flange and tighten against countertop underside. Wipe excess sealant.
  6. Check Level: Place level in sink bowl; adjust clips if sink is not level.
  7. Cure Time: Allow sealant to cure 24 hours before connecting plumbing or using sink.

Tip: Dry-fit everything before applying sealant.

Connecting Plumbing

Install drain assembly and connect water lines.

  1. Drain Assembly: From above, insert strainer basket into drain hole. Below, place rubber washer, then metal washer, and thread locknut onto tailpiece. Tighten with wrench (do not overtighten).
  2. P-trap & Tailpiece: Connect tailpiece to P-trap, aligning with wall drain. Use slip-joint nuts and washers; hand-tighten plus quarter-turn with wrench.
  3. Faucet: Install faucet through pre-drilled hole following faucet manufacturer's instructions. Connect hot/cold supply lines to shutoff valves.
  4. Garbage Disposal: If installing disposal, follow disposal instructions for mounting to sink flange and connecting drain.

WARNING! Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

Sealing & Waterproofing

Proper sealing prevents water damage to cabinet.

Use 100% silicone sealant (kitchen/bath grade) around sink flange. After mounting, inspect seal from below; add more sealant if gaps exist. For laminate countertops, ensure cut edges are sealed with laminate sealer before installing sink. Let sealant cure fully before exposing to water.

Care & Cleaning

To maintain finish and longevity.

Daily: Rinse with warm water, wipe with soft cloth or sponge. Use mild dish soap if needed. Weekly: Clean with baking soda paste or stainless steel cleaner (follow grain). Avoid: Abrasive pads, steel wool, bleach, oven cleaners, or acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon juice) for prolonged periods. Dry after cleaning to prevent water spots.

CAUTION! Do not use chlorine-based cleaners; they can damage stainless steel.
