  1. Assemble on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratches.
  2. Ensure all screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
  3. Check stability before use. Do not stand or jump on the furniture.
  4. Use only IKEA-approved parts for repairs or expansions.

CAUTION! Heavy parts; use two people for lifting and assembly to prevent injury.

Assembly Steps

Follow steps in order. Estimated assembly time: 30-45 minutes.

  1. Attach legs: Turn frame upside down on cloth. Insert plastic legs into pre-drilled holes on bottom of seat frames. Press firmly until they click into place.
  2. Connect corner frames: Align left and right seat frames. Insert connector brackets into slots. Secure with four 5x40 mm screws per bracket using Allen key.
  3. Attach backrest: Position backrest frame onto connected seat base. Secure from behind using remaining screws.
  4. Install cushions: Place foam seat cushions onto frame. Attach back cushion.
  5. Apply covers: Stretch fabric covers over cushions and frame, ensuring zippers are at the back. Zip closed.

Tip: If parts do not align easily, check orientation and do not force.

Attaching to Other Sections

The PÄRUP corner section is designed to connect with armless and armchair sections using the same connector brackets.

  1. Ensure both sections are on a level surface.
  2. Align connector slots between sections.
  3. Insert additional connector brackets (sold separately) and secure with screws.
  4. Test connection by gently pushing sections together; there should be no gap or movement.

Note: Maximum recommended configuration is 5 sections connected in a row.

Care & Maintenance

WARNING! Do not dry clean covers as chemicals may damage fabric and foam.
