Tools Required
Gather the following tools before starting:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Drill (if mounting to concrete ceiling)
- Drill bit suitable for wall plugs provided
- Wire stripper/cutter
- Ladder or stable step stool
- Voltage tester (to confirm power is off)
Assembly Instructions
Assemble the lamp components before electrical connection.
- Unpack all parts and lay them on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratches.
- If the mounting plate is separate, attach it to the main lamp body using the provided screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Identify the lamp holder(s) for the light bulb(s). Ensure they are securely fixed within the lamp body.
- Pass the electrical cord from the lamp body through the center hole of the mounting plate.
- Once wires are threaded, tighten all screws on the mounting plate to secure the lamp body.
CAUTION! Handle the lamp shade carefully to avoid bending or damaging the material.
Electrical Installation
POWER MUST BE OFF AT THE BREAKER.
- Remove the existing ceiling fixture, if present.
- Identify the household electrical wires in the ceiling junction box: Live/Hot (usually black or red), Neutral (usually white), and Ground (usually bare copper or green).
- Connect the lamp wires to the household wires using the provided wire connectors (wire nuts):
- Lamp Live (brown or marked L) to Household Live.
- Lamp Neutral (blue or marked N) to Household Neutral.
- Lamp Ground (green/yellow or bare) to Household Ground.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Gently tug on each wire to confirm.
- Neatly tuck all connected wires into the ceiling junction box.
Mounting to Ceiling
- Align the mounting plate with the holes in the ceiling junction box.
- Using the provided screws, secure the mounting plate to the junction box. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not wobble.
- If mounting to a solid ceiling (concrete) without a junction box, use the provided wall plugs. Mark drill holes, drill, insert plugs, and then screw the mounting plate in place.
- Once the plate is secure, lift the main lamp body and hook it onto the plate or align it with the screws. Secure it according to the specific design (often by turning or tightening locking screws).
- Install the recommended light bulb(s) (see Specifications). Do not exceed the maximum wattage.
- Attach any final decorative covers or diffusers.
Tip: Have a helper hold the lamp during final mounting, as it can be heavy and awkward.

Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
| Lamp does not turn on | Power off; faulty bulb; loose connection | Check circuit breaker; try a known-working bulb; ensure wall switch is on. If problem persists, check wire connections (power off!). |
| Lamp flickers | Loose bulb; incompatible dimmer; faulty connection | Turn power off. Tighten bulb. If using a dimmer, ensure bulbs are dimmable and dimmer is compatible with LED bulbs. Check wire connections. |
| Lamp is unstable or wobbles | Loose mounting | Turn off power. Secure the mounting plate screws and the connection between the lamp body and plate. |
| Overheating | Bulb wattage too high | Immediately turn off lamp. Let it cool. Replace bulb(s) with ones that do not exceed the maximum wattage specified. |
| Buzzing sound from dimmer | Incompatible dimmer or bulb | Replace with a dimmer switch designed for the specific bulb type (e.g., LED). Or use non-dimmable bulbs without a dimmer. |
