Safety Instructions

Step-by-Step Installation

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation.

  1. Plan Placement: Decide on the desired height and location. Use a level and pencil to mark a light horizontal guideline.
  2. Mark Bracket Positions: Hold a wall bracket against the wall along your guideline. Using a pencil, mark the positions of the two screw holes. Repeat for the second bracket, ensuring the distance between brackets matches the pre-drilled holes on the back of the ledge (approximately 41 3/4" or 106 cm apart).
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: At each marked point, drill a pilot hole slightly smaller than the wall anchor. For solid walls (studs, concrete), you may not need the plastic anchors if screws grip securely.
  4. Insert Wall Anchors: Gently tap the plastic wall anchors into the drilled holes until flush with the wall surface.
  5. Attach Brackets: Align a wall bracket with the holes. Insert and tighten the screws through the bracket into the wall anchors or stud. Do not fully tighten until both screws are started. Repeat for the second bracket. Use a level to ensure both brackets are perfectly horizontal and at the same height.
  6. Mount the Ledge: Carefully lift the MOSSLANDA ledge and hook the keyhole slots on its back onto the heads of the screws protruding from the wall brackets. Slide the ledge downward slightly to lock it in place.
  7. Final Check: Gently pull downward on the ledge to ensure it is securely mounted and does not move. Check level again.

Tip: For heavy loads or uncertain wall types, seek professional installation assistance.

Load Capacity & Usage

Designed for lightweight decorative items.

  1. Maximum Load: 11 lbs (5 kg).
  2. Suitable Items: Photo frames, small books, lightweight sculptures, plants in small pots, decorative boxes.
  3. Not Suitable: Heavy books, electronics, liquids, aquariums, or any item exceeding the weight limit.
  4. Distribution: Spread items evenly along the length of the ledge. Avoid placing all weight in the center.
  5. Child/Pet Safety: Ensure displayed items are stable and cannot be easily knocked off.

WARNING! Overloading can cause the ledge to detach from the wall, resulting in damage or injury.

Care & Maintenance

Unload the ledge before any cleaning or adjustment.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents.
  2. Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth or a duster regularly.
  3. Inspection: Periodically check the tightness of the screws and the stability of the mounting.
  4. Relocation: To move, remove all items, lift the ledge off the brackets, unscrew the brackets from the wall, and patch the holes as needed.

CAUTION! Do not stand or sit on the ledge. It is not a shelf for support.
