Safety Information

Your safety is important. Please follow these guidelines.

  1. Assembly Surface: Assemble on a soft, clean surface (e.g., carpet, blanket) to prevent scratching.
  2. Lifting: The unit is heavy. Use two people for lifting and moving to avoid injury.
  3. Children: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts are a choking hazard.
  4. Stability: To prevent tipping, the storage unit MUST be securely attached to the wall using the provided wall attachment device, especially if children are present.
  5. Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 55 lbs (25 kg) per shelf.

WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall.

Assembly Instructions

Follow the steps in numerical order as shown in the included pictorial guide.

  1. Step 1 - Prepare Parts: Lay out all panels and hardware. Identify each part using the diagrams.
  2. Step 2 - Attach Side Panels to Base: Insert cam lock dowels into the base panel. Align the side panels and twist the cam locks clockwise to lock (listen for a click).
  3. Step 3 - Install Fixed Shelf: Slot the fixed shelf into the pre-determined position between the side panels. Secure with provided screws from the outside.
  4. Step 4 - Attach Back Panel: Place the unit face down on a protected surface. Align the back panel and secure it using the short screws provided. This adds structural rigidity.
  5. Step 5 - Attach Top Panel: Place the top panel onto the side panels. Secure it using cam locks from underneath or screws as indicated.
  6. Step 6 - Install Adjustable Shelves: Insert shelf support pins into the desired holes on the side panels. Gently place the adjustable shelves onto the pins.
  7. Step 7 - Final Check: Ensure all screws and cam locks are fully tightened. Gently rock the unit to check for stability before proceeding to wall attachment.

Tip: Do not fully tighten all screws until the entire frame is assembled to allow for minor adjustments.

Installation & Placement

Proper placement ensures safety and longevity.

  1. Choosing a Location: Place the unit on a flat, level, and solid floor. Avoid uneven surfaces.
  2. Wall Attachment (CRITICAL):
    • Locate solid wall studs using a stud finder.
    • Position the unit against the wall in its final location.
    • Use the provided wall attachment bracket. Screw one part to the wall stud(s) and the other part to the top back of the storage unit.
    • Tighten securely. The unit should not be able to tilt forward.
  3. Clearance: Allow at least 2 inches (5 cm) of clearance from heat sources like radiators or heaters.
  4. Loading: Place heavier items on the lower shelves to maintain a low center of gravity.

Adjusting Shelves

The unit features flexible storage options.

CAUTION! Empty the shelf before adjusting it. Do not stand or sit on the shelves.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will keep your storage unit looking new.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Wipe dry immediately. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents.
  2. Protection: Use coasters under glasses and placemats under hot dishes to prevent heat marks and stains.
  3. Inspection: Periodically check the tightness of screws and cam locks, especially after moving the unit. Re-tighten if necessary.
  4. Relocation: To move the unit, first remove all items and shelves. Disconnect it from the wall. Use two people to lift and carry it—do not drag.
