  2. Pencil
  3. Level
  4. Tape measure
  5. Hammer (for inserting wall plugs)
  6. Stud finder (recommended for locating wall studs)

NOTE: Using the correct tools ensures safe and proper assembly.

Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before beginning assembly and installation.

  1. Work Area: Assemble on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratching the shelf.
  2. Wall Type: Ensure your wall is suitable for the load. Use a stud finder to locate wooden studs for the most secure installation. For hollow walls (drywall), use the provided wall anchors and ensure they are properly seated.
  3. Lifting: The shelf is lightweight, but use care when handling to avoid pinching fingers.
  4. Installation Height: Install at a height safe for all users, considering what will be stored on the shelf.

WARNING! Incorrect installation can cause the shelf to fall, resulting in injury or damage. Always secure to a structurally sound wall.

Assembly Steps

Assemble the brackets and shelf before mounting to the wall.

  1. Identify Parts: Lay out all parts from the package using the Parts & Hardware list.
  2. Attach Brackets to Shelf: Place the shelf board upside down on a protected surface. Position the left and right brackets on the underside of the shelf, aligning the pre-drilled holes. Secure each bracket using 2 of the smaller Screw B with washers per bracket. Do not overtighten.
  3. Check Alignment: Ensure both brackets are parallel and firmly attached to the shelf.

Tip: Keep the assembly upside down until you are ready to lift it onto the wall anchors.

Wall Installation

This is the most critical step for safety.

  1. Plan Placement: Decide on the shelf's location. Use a stud finder to locate wall studs. Marking the bracket holes into studs is the strongest method.
  2. Mark Bracket Holes: Hold the assembled shelf (with brackets attached) against the wall at the desired height. Use a level on top of the shelf board to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Lightly mark the wall through the screw holes in each bracket. You will have 4 marks (2 per bracket).
  3. Prepare Wall: If drilling into drywall (not a stud), use a drill bit slightly smaller than the wall plugs to drill holes at your marks. Gently tap the plastic wall plugs into the holes until flush with the wall.
  4. Mount the Shelf: Align the bracket holes with the wall plugs or studs. Insert the larger Screw A through the bracket and into the wall plug or stud. Tighten securely but do not strip the screw head. Repeat for all four screws.
  5. Final Check: Gently pull down on the shelf to test its stability. Ensure it is level and does not wobble.

CAUTION! If the wall material is uncertain (e.g., plaster, tile), consult a professional. The provided hardware is for standard solid walls and drywall.

Weight Limits & Usage

Exceeding the weight limit can cause bracket failure or pull the anchors from the wall.

Care & Maintenance

To keep your shelf looking its best.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the wooden shelf with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or chemical solvents.
  2. Metal Brackets: Dust with a dry cloth. If needed, wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
  3. Inspection: Periodically check the tightness of the screws and the stability of the shelf on the wall.

CAUTION! Do not soak or spill liquids on the wooden shelf, as it may cause warping or finish damage.
