Safety Instructions
WARNING! To prevent serious injury and damage:
- Two-person assembly: Cabinet panels are large and require two people for safe handling.
- Secure wall mounting: This is a wall-mounted unit. It MUST be securely attached to wall studs or solid masonry using the provided hardware. Do not rely on drywall alone.
- Check wall condition: Ensure the wall can support the cabinet's weight (see specifications).
- Keep children away: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts are a choking hazard.
- Use on stable surface: Assemble on a soft, stable surface (e.g., carpet, blanket) to avoid scratching parts.
Step-by-Step Assembly
Follow these steps in order. Do not fully tighten cam locks until all parts are aligned.
- Prepare the side panels: Identify left (A) and right (B) side panels. Insert cam lock dowels (1) into the pre-drilled holes on the inner sides of both panels as shown in diagram 1.
- Attach the bottom panel: Connect the bottom panel (D) to the side panels using the cam locks. Align the dowels and turn the cam locks 90° clockwise with the Allen key (5). Do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach the top panel: Connect the top panel (C) to the side panels in the same manner as step 2.
- Square the frame: Ensure the cabinet frame is square by measuring diagonally from corner to corner. Both measurements should be equal. Adjust if necessary, then fully tighten all cam locks.
- Install the back panel: Place the back panel (E) into the grooves on the rear of the cabinet frame. Secure it using the provided small nails or screws (if any) around the perimeter.
- Install shelf supports: Insert the metal shelf support pins into the desired height holes on the inner sides of the cabinet.
- Place the shelves: Gently place the adjustable shelves (F) onto the support pins.
Tip: Do not force parts. If something doesn't fit, check alignment and orientation.
Wall Mounting Instructions
CRITICAL: This cabinet must be securely mounted to the wall. Failure to do so can cause it to fall, resulting in injury or death.
- Locate wall studs: Use a stud finder to locate solid wood studs or masonry behind the wall. Mark the center of at least two studs with a pencil.
- Hold cabinet in position: With the help of another person, hold the assembled cabinet against the wall in its desired location. Use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Lightly mark the wall through the keyhole slots on the back of the cabinet.
- Pre-drill holes: At the marked locations, pre-drill pilot holes into the center of the wall studs. The hole size should match the provided screws (2).
- Install wall anchors (if not in stud): If you cannot mount into studs, you must use appropriate heavy-duty wall anchors (not always sufficient—check weight rating). Drill holes for anchors, insert them, and tap gently with a hammer.
- Mount the cabinet: Lift the cabinet and hook the keyhole slots onto the screw heads protruding from the wall. Ensure all mounting points are engaged. Tighten the screws securely to pull the cabinet flush against the wall.
- Final check: Firmly pull down on the cabinet to confirm it is securely attached and does not move.
Adjusting Shelves & Doors
Shelves: To adjust shelf height, lift the shelf off the support pins, move the pins to the desired hole position, and replace the shelf.
Door Alignment: The door (G) comes with concealed hinges that are adjustable.
- Height: Loosen the screw on the hinge side to move the door up or down.
- Side-to-Side: Use the horizontal adjustment screw on the hinge to move the door closer to or away from the cabinet side.
- Depth: Adjust the screw at the back of the hinge to change how far the door sits from the cabinet front.
Make small adjustments and check the door swing and closure after each turn.
Attaching the Handle: Screw the provided door handle (4) into the pre-drilled holes on the door front.
Care & Maintenance
To keep your cabinet looking new:
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if needed. Dry immediately.
- Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, solvents, or excessive water.
- Weight Limit: Do not exceed 25 lbs (11 kg) per shelf. Distribute weight evenly.
- Environment: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or heat sources.
CAUTION! Do not hang on the door or shelves. This can damage hinges and supports.
