Assembly Instructions
Assemble the base frame before attaching it to your KALLAX shelving unit.
- Attach the Feet: Turn the base frame upside down on a protected surface. Screw the four plastic adjustable feet into the pre-drilled holes at each corner.
- Adjust for Level: Once the feet are attached, turn the base right-side up. Place it where the KALLAX unit will stand. Adjust each foot by twisting until the base is stable and does not rock.
- Prepare for Mounting: Do not attach the base to the KALLAX unit until the KALLAX unit itself is fully assembled according to its own instructions.
Tip: Keep the Allen key handy for the final mounting step.
Installation with KALLAX Unit
Mounting the base to your KALLAX shelving unit.
- Ensure the KALLAX unit is fully assembled and lying flat on its back on a protected surface.
- Position the assembled base frame centrally on the bottom of the KALLAX unit. Align the pre-drilled holes in the base with the corresponding holes/slots on the bottom panel of the KALLAX.
- Using the provided screws and Allen key, secure the base to the KALLAX unit. Tighten all screws firmly.
- With the help of a second person, carefully lift the combined unit upright.
- Place the unit in its desired location. Make final adjustments to the feet to ensure it is level and stable.
- CRITICAL: If you are using a tall KALLAX unit (e.g., 4x4 or taller), you MUST secure it to the wall using the wall attachment device to prevent tipping.
