  2. Step 2: Attach the back panel (B) to the side panels using screws (E). Do not fully tighten yet.

Placement & Stability

Proper placement and wall attachment are critical for safety.

  1. Place the shelf unit on a flat, level, and stable floor.
  2. Position it away from direct heat sources and excessive humidity.
  3. Wall Attachment (MANDATORY):
    • Locate the solid wall studs using a stud finder.
    • Hold the wall bracket (F) against the wall at the top rear of the shelf unit and mark screw holes.
    • Drill pilot holes and secure the bracket to the wall studs.
    • Attach the shelf unit to the wall bracket using the provided screws.

WARNING! Never place heavy items on the top shelf without securing the unit to the wall. The unit's center of gravity rises as shelves are loaded, increasing tip-over risk.

Care & Maintenance

To ensure longevity and appearance of your HYLLIS shelf.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. Dry immediately.
  2. Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can damage the coating.
  3. Rust Prevention: Although rust-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. Wipe up spills immediately.
  4. Inspection: Periodically check that all screws are tight and the wall attachment is secure.

CAUTION! Do not use the shelf as a workbench, ladder, or step stool.
