Safety Instructions

WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip-over. ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall using the provided wall attachment devices.

  1. Two-Person Assembly: Some steps are easier and safer with two people.
  2. Stable Surface: Assemble on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratches.
  3. Check Wall Structure: Mount only to solid walls (wood studs, concrete, brick). Use appropriate anchors for your wall type.
  4. Child Safety: Do not allow children to climb or hang on the shelves.
  5. Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity (see Specifications).

CAUTION! Keep small hardware away from children to prevent choking.

Assembly Steps

Follow the numerical order shown in the included pictorial guide. Refer to part letters/numbers.

  1. Attach Side Panels to Back Panel: Lay the back panel flat. Align the pre-drilled holes on the side panels with those on the back panel. Insert and hand-tighten the provided screws.
  2. Install Cam Locks: Insert the plastic cam locks into the designated holes on the inside of the side panels. Turn them to the "open" position (arrow pointing to insertion hole).
  3. Attach First Shelf: Position the lower shelf board so its metal pins align with the cam locks on the side panels. Gently tap into place. Using the Allen key, turn each cam lock 90° clockwise to the "locked" position. You should hear a click.
  4. Attach Second Shelf: Repeat step 3 for the top shelf board.
  5. Final Check: Ensure all cam locks are fully tightened and all screws are secure. The unit should feel rigid with no wobble.

Tip: Do not fully tighten any screw until all parts are loosely fitted together, then tighten all connections.

Wall Mounting

THIS STEP IS MANDATORY FOR STABILITY AND SAFETY.

  1. Locate Studs: Use a stud finder to locate solid wood studs in your wall. Mark the center of two studs with a pencil. If studs are not in the correct position, you must use heavy-duty wall anchors suitable for your wall type (drywall, plaster, concrete).
  2. Position Shelf: With help, hold the assembled shelf unit against the wall in its desired location. Use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the positions of the two keyhole slots on the back panel onto the wall.
  3. Install Wall Fixings: At your marks, drill pilot holes. Install the provided wall anchors or screws directly into studs.
  4. Mount Shelf: Lift the shelf and hook the keyhole slots onto the screw heads. Pull downward slightly to lock into place.
  5. Security Check: Gently try to lift and pull the shelf away from the wall. It should not move. Ensure it feels completely secure.

WARNING! An unsecured shelf can tip over, causing property damage or injury.

Care & Maintenance

To ensure long-lasting appearance and function:

  1. Cleaning: Wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Wipe dry immediately. Do not allow moisture to seep into edges.
  2. Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, solvents, or ammonia-based products.
  3. Protect: Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent discoloration.
  4. Check Tightness: Periodically (every 6-12 months) check that all screws and cam locks are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.

CAUTION! Never stand or sit on the shelves.
