Safety Information
Read all instructions before assembly. For your safety and to prevent damage to the product, follow these guidelines.
- Work Area: Assemble on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratches.
- Lifting: The cabinet is heavy. Use two people for lifting and moving.
- Tools: Use only the provided Allen key. Do not over-tighten screws.
- Children: Keep small hardware away from children to avoid choking hazards.
- Installation: Secure cabinet to wall to prevent tipping, especially in households with children.
WARNING! Failure to secure the cabinet to the wall can result in serious injury or death from tipping.
Assembly Instructions
Follow steps in order. Do not fully tighten cam locks until the structure is square.
- Prepare Panels: Identify all panels (A, B, C) and lay them flat.
- Attach Back Panel: Insert wood dowels (J) into side panels (A, B). Align back panel (C) and secure with cam lock screws (I).
- Install Base Frame: Attach the base frame (F) to the side panels using cam locks.
- Attach Legs: Screw the four adjustable legs (G) into the bottom of the base frame.
- Install Drawer Runners: Mount the soft-closing runners (H) inside the cabinet according to markings.
- Assemble Drawer: Connect the drawer frame pieces (E), then attach the drawer front (D).
- Insert Drawer: Slide the assembled drawer onto the runners. Test the soft-close function.
- Final Check: Ensure all cam locks are fully tightened and the cabinet is square.
Tip: If parts do not align, check that dowels are fully inserted and panels are not upside down.
Installation to Wall
To prevent tipping, the cabinet MUST be secured to a wall stud.
- Position the assembled cabinet in its final location.
- Using a stud finder, locate at least one wall stud behind the cabinet.
- Mark the position on the inside top back of the cabinet.
- Pre-drill a pilot hole through the cabinet back and into the wall stud.
- Secure using the provided wall attachment screws (K). Tighten firmly.
CAUTION! Do not rely on drywall anchors alone. The screw must be in a solid wood stud.
Installing the Sink Top
This cabinet is designed for use with a HEMNES sink top (sold separately).
- Place the sink top upside down on a padded surface.
- Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant along the top edge of the cabinet frame.
- With help, carefully flip and lower the sink top onto the cabinet, aligning it evenly.
- Press down gently to ensure a good seal with the silicone.
- Connect the faucet and plumbing according to the faucet's manual.
- Allow the silicone to cure for 24 hours before using the sink.
Adjusting the Legs
The adjustable legs allow you to level the cabinet on an uneven floor.
- Place a level on top of the cabinet (or sink top once installed).
- Turn the legs clockwise to raise that corner, counter-clockwise to lower it.
- Check the level from front to back and side to side.
- Repeat adjustments until the cabinet is perfectly level and stable.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your solid wood cabinet.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Wood Care: Treat with IKEA BEHANDLA wood stain or oil periodically to maintain finish and protect from moisture.
- Drawer Runners: Keep runners clean and free of debris. Do not lubricate.
- Water Exposure: Wipe spills immediately to prevent water marks and swelling.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
| Drawer does not close smoothly | Runners misaligned or obstructed | Check runner alignment. Ensure nothing is blocking the drawer path. |
| Cabinet wobbles | Floor uneven or legs not adjusted | Use the level and adjust the four legs until stable. |
| Gap between panels | Cam locks not fully tightened or dowels not inserted | Disassemble step, ensure dowels are fully seated, then re-tighten all cam locks. |
| Door/drawer front crooked | Mounting screws loose | Loosen screws, align front, then re-tighten. |
| Water marks on wood | Prolonged water exposure | Lightly sand the area and reapply wood treatment. |
