Assembly Instructions

Follow steps in order. Do not fully tighten screws until structure is square.

  1. Prepare: Unpack all parts in the room where chest will be used. Check for damage.
  2. Frame Construction:
    • Attach side panels (A1, A2) to bottom panel (D) using dowels (J) and cam locks (I).
    • Insert back panel (B) into grooves on side and bottom panels.
    • Attach top panel (C) to side panels using dowels and cam locks.
  3. Secure Frame: Ensure all cam locks are turned to locked position (usually a 90° turn). Tighten any screws.
  4. Install Drawer Glides: Attach glide rails (H) to the inside of the cabinet sides according to markings. Ensure they are level and aligned.

Tip: Assemble with a partner for easier handling of large panels.

Drawer Installation

Assemble drawers before inserting into chest.

  1. Drawer Box: Connect drawer sides and back (F) using dowels and cam locks. Insert drawer bottom (G) into grooves.
  2. Drawer Front: Attach drawer front (E) to the drawer box using screws from inside the box. Ensure it is centered and aligned before tightening.
  3. Install Glides: Attach the mating glide pieces to the outer sides of each drawer box.
  4. Insert Drawers: Slide each drawer into its corresponding slot in the chest. The drawer should glide smoothly. Adjust if necessary.

Note: Drawers are often numbered (E1-E6) corresponding to positions from top to bottom.

Adjusting & Leveling

Ensure chest is stable and does not rock.

  1. Position Chest: Move chest to its final location.
  2. Adjust Feet: Turn the adjustable feet (K) at the bottom of each leg to compensate for uneven floors. Use a level.
  3. Check Drawers: All drawers should open and close smoothly. If a drawer sticks, check glide alignment and level of the chest.
  4. Wall Attachment: CRITICAL STEP. Attach the included drawer stop device (L) or wall strap to the back of the chest and securely into a wall stud.

Proper care will maintain appearance and function.
