- Phillips screwdriver
- Hammer (for wall anchors)
- Electric drill (optional, for faster installation)
- Spirit level (minimum 60cm / 24 inches)
- Pencil (for marking wall)
- Tape measure
NOTE: The included Allen key is sufficient for basic assembly, but a power drill is recommended for wall mounting.
Safety Information
WARNING! Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or damage.
- Two-person job: The frame and attached units are heavy. Always use two people for lifting and assembly.
- Stable surface: Assemble on a clean, flat, protected surface to avoid scratching the finish.
- Wall attachment is mandatory: To prevent tipping, especially when loaded or with children present, the base frame MUST be securely attached to a wall stud or solid masonry using the provided brackets and hardware.
- Check load capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight limit specified in section 7.
- Keep hardware away from children: Small parts are a choking hazard.
Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps in order to assemble the base frame.
- Lay out parts: Identify all parts from the list in section 2.
- Attach leveling feet: Screw one adjustable foot into each corner of the two main horizontal beams (Part 100001). Hand-tighten for now.
- Connect side supports: Position the four vertical uprights (Part 100002) between the two horizontal beams. Align the pre-drilled holes.
- Insert cross braces: Fit the two stabilizing bars (Part 100003) diagonally between the side supports, as shown in the diagram (not pictured here). This adds rigidity.
- Secure all joints: Using the provided Allen key (100008) and M6 screws (100006), tighten all connections firmly. Ensure the frame is square before final tightening.
- Attach mounting brackets: Fix the two L-shaped mounting brackets (100005) to the rear of the frame's top horizontal beam, near the ends.
Tip: Do not fully tighten the leveling feet until the frame is in its final position and you are ready to level it.
Installation to Wall
This step is critical for stability and safety.
- Position the frame: With help, move the assembled frame to its desired location against the wall.
- Mark bracket holes: Use a pencil to mark the screw hole locations on the wall through the slots in the mounting brackets.
- Locate wall studs: Use a stud finder. For solid walls (brick/concrete), mark for anchor placement.
- Drill pilot holes: Drill holes at your marks, sized appropriately for the wall anchors (for solid walls) or slightly smaller than the screw diameter for wood studs.
- Insert wall anchors: If needed, tap the provided wall anchors (100007) into the holes in solid walls.
- Secure the frame: Hold the frame firmly against the wall. Insert screws through the brackets and into the wall/studs. Tighten securely.
CAUTION! Ensure the wall can support the intended load. If unsure, consult a professional.
Leveling & Adjustment
Even on uneven floors, you can achieve a stable, level installation.
- Place a spirit level along the top of the frame, both front-to-back and side-to-side.
- Turn the adjustable feet clockwise to raise that corner or counter-clockwise to lower it.
- Re-check the level after each adjustment.
- Once perfectly level, use a wrench (not provided) to gently tighten the lock nut on each foot (if present) to prevent it from turning later. Do not overtighten.
Note: The frame must be level before attaching any HAVSTA cabinets or shelves.
Weight Capacity
- Maximum distributed load: 80 kg (176 lbs) across the entire frame.
- Maximum point load (per shelf/cabinet): 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Dynamic load (e.g., doors opening, items being placed): Considered within the static limits. Avoid sudden impacts.
WARNING! Exceeding these limits can cause frame failure, tipping, or collapse. Distribute weight evenly.

Care & Maintenance
To ensure long-lasting performance and appearance:
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if necessary. Dry immediately.
- Avoid: Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals which can damage the powder coat.
- Periodic check: Every 6 months, check that all screws and wall attachments are tight. Re-level if necessary.
- Inspect leveling feet: Ensure they remain firmly in contact with the floor and have not loosened.
CAUTION! Do not use the frame as a step ladder or seat.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
| Frame wobbles or rocks | Uneven floor; feet not adjusted; loose joints | Re-level using adjustable feet. Tighten all frame connection screws. |
| Unit feels unstable or tips forward | Not attached to wall; overloaded front | STOP USE. Immediately secure frame to wall as per section 6. Redistribute weight towards the back. |
| Screws won't tighten | Stripped thread; misaligned holes | Disassemble and check for damage. Ensure parts are aligned correctly before tightening. |
| Difficulty attaching cabinets | Frame not level; mounting holes misaligned | Re-level the base frame. Check that the cabinet's mounting hardware matches the frame's pre-drilled holes. |
| Rust spots appear | Finish damaged; prolonged moisture exposure | Clean area, dry thoroughly. Touch up with matching anti-rust paint. Keep in a dry environment. |
