  3. Tighten Securely: Ensure all bolts and connections are fully tightened before use.

Assembly Instructions

Estimated assembly time: 15-20 minutes. Recommended: Two people for easier handling.

  1. Attach Base to Cylinder: Turn the five-star base upside down. Insert the gas lift cylinder (D) into the center socket. Push down firmly until you hear a click.
  2. Attach Seat to Mechanism: Place the seat (A) upside down on a protected surface. The chair tilt mechanism is pre-attached. Align the holes on the mechanism plate with the holes on the top of the gas cylinder. Insert the four bolts (F).
  3. Tighten Bolts: Using the provided Allen key (G), tighten all four bolts securely in a cross pattern (do not overtighten).
  4. Attach Backrest: Position the backrest (B) onto the mounting brackets at the rear of the seat. Slide it downwards until it locks into place. You should hear a confirming click. Gently pull upwards to ensure it is secure.
  5. Attach Plastic Cover: Snap the plastic cover (E) over the top of the gas cylinder to conceal the mechanism and bolts.
  6. Final Check: Turn the chair upright. Check that all parts are firmly connected and the chair is stable.

Tip: Do not remove the plastic tag from the gas cylinder, as it contains important safety information.

Weight Capacity & Dimensions

Adjustments & Features

Your HAVBERG chair offers several adjustments for personalized comfort.

Seat Height: Locate the lever under the right side of the seat. While sitting or standing beside the chair, lift the lever to release the lock. Use your body weight to raise or lower the seat to the desired height. Release the lever to lock in position.

Swivel: The chair rotates freely 360 degrees on its base.

Tilt & Tension: The chair may feature a tilt function. To adjust tilt tension (resistance when leaning back), turn the large knob under the front of the seat clockwise to increase resistance, counter-clockwise to decrease.

Armrests (if model includes): Some models have fixed or adjustable armrests. Refer to specific packaging for details.

Proper Use & Ergonomics

  1. Optimal Posture: Adjust seat height so your feet rest flat on the floor with knees at a 90-degree angle.
  2. Back Support: The lumbar region of your back should be supported by the contour of the backrest.
  3. Arm Position: If using armrests, shoulders should be relaxed and elbows close to a 90-degree angle.
  4. Take Breaks: No chair replaces movement. Stand up, stretch, and change posture regularly.
  5. Rolling: Use your feet to move the chair gently. Avoid kicking the base or rolling over power cords.

Care & Maintenance

Fabric/Upholstery: Vacuum regularly. Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not soak. Test cleaner on an inconspicuous area first.

Mesh Back (if applicable): Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Plastic & Metal Parts: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.

Casters: Remove hair and debris from wheels periodically to ensure smooth rolling.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or steam cleaners. Keep away from direct heat sources.

Disassembly & Moving

To move the chair through narrow spaces or for storage, partial disassembly is recommended.

  1. Remove the plastic cover (E) by pulling it upwards.
  2. Using the Allen key, loosen and remove the four bolts (F) connecting the seat to the gas cylinder.
  3. Lift the seat assembly (with backrest attached) off the cylinder.
  4. To separate the cylinder from the base, insert a small rod or screwdriver into the release hole on the underside of the base socket and push up on the cylinder.
  5. Reassembly: Reverse the process, ensuring all connections are secure before use.
