Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before assembly and installation.

  1. Weight Limit: Do not exceed total load of 15 kg (33 lbs) distributed across all hooks and the shelf.
  2. Wall Type: Ensure wall is solid and can support the weight. Use appropriate wall anchors for your wall material (drywall, plaster, concrete, wood).
  3. Child Safety: Install at a height where children cannot pull hanging items down onto themselves. Do not allow children to climb on the organizer.
  4. Tool Safety: Use tools correctly and wear safety glasses when drilling.

WARNING! Improper installation can cause the unit to fall, resulting in injury or damage. If unsure, consult a professional.

Assembly Steps

Assemble the organizer on a soft, clean surface before mounting it to the wall.

  1. Attach Hooks to Wall Plate: Identify the pre-drilled holes on the back of the wall plate. Insert the threaded end of each hook into its designated hole (3 large hooks on top row, 2 small hooks on bottom row as shown in diagram). Hand-tighten clockwise until snug. Use the included Allen key to secure fully. Do not overtighten.
  2. Attach Wooden Shelf: Place the wooden shelf onto the two lower support tabs extending from the wall plate. Ensure it sits flush and level. From underneath, insert the two small screws (provided with shelf) through the shelf into the pre-tapped holes in the support tabs. Tighten with a screwdriver.
  3. Final Check: Ensure all hooks and the shelf are firmly attached and do not wobble.

Tip: Keep the packaging until assembly is complete in case you need to identify a part.

Wall Installation

This is the most critical step. Installing into a wall stud is always recommended for maximum strength.

  1. Choose Location: Select a wall area free of pipes and electrical wiring. Use a stud finder.
  2. Mark Holes: Hold the fully assembled wall plate against the wall at the desired height (recommended: center of plate 150-160 cm from floor). Use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the positions of the four mounting holes on the wall with a pencil.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: If mounting into a wooden stud, drill pilot holes slightly smaller than the screw diameter at your marks. If mounting into drywall or plaster without a stud, use the included wall anchors. Drill holes at your marks to the size specified on the anchor packaging.
  4. Insert Anchors (if needed): Gently tap the plastic wall anchors into the drywall/plaster holes until flush with the wall.
  5. Mount the Organizer: Align the wall plate with the holes. Insert the mounting screws through the plate and into the pilot holes or wall anchors. Tighten securely with a screwdriver, but do not overtighten as this may strip the anchor or damage the wall plate.
  6. Final Check: Gently pull down on the organizer to test its stability. It should not move or feel loose.

CAUTION! Always verify your wall type and use appropriate fixings. IKEA is not liable for damage caused by incorrect installation.
