WARNING! To prevent injury and damage:

  1. Two-Person Lift: The sofa section is heavy. Always use two people to move or lift it.
  2. Stable Surface: Perform assembly on a clean, stable, flat floor.
  3. Check Compatibility: Ensure your FINNALA sofa model is compatible (993.361.xx series).
  4. Secure Attachment: Tighten all bolts firmly. Periodically check for looseness.
  5. Child Safety: Do not allow children to play with or climb on the headrest.

Assembly & Attachment

Follow these steps to attach the headrest to your FINNALA sofa section.

  1. Position the Sofa: Ensure the sofa section is upright and accessible from the back.
  2. Locate Mounting Points: On the back of the sofa frame, identify the four pre-drilled holes (two on each side, near the top).
  3. Attach Brackets:
    • Align the left support bracket with the left set of holes.
    • Insert two bolts with washers through the bracket and into the frame.
    • Hand-tighten, then use the Allen key to secure firmly. Do not overtighten.
    • Repeat for the right bracket.
  4. Install Headrest Cushion:
    • Lift the headrest cushion and align its fabric loops or sleeves with the protruding arms of the support brackets.
    • Slide the cushion down onto the brackets until it rests securely and evenly.
  5. Final Check: Gently push and pull on the headrest to confirm it is stable and does not wobble.

Tip: If alignment is difficult, slightly loosen the bracket bolts, position the cushion, then re-tighten.

Adjustment Instructions

The headrest offers multiple positions for comfort.

  1. Height Adjustment: The headrest slides up and down on the bracket arms. To adjust:
    • Lift the headrest cushion straight up to release it from its current position.
    • Move it to a higher or lower set of notches on the bracket arms.
    • Push down firmly until you hear a click, indicating it is locked in place.
  2. Angle Adjustment (If applicable): Some models allow a slight forward tilt. Gently pull the top of the cushion forward until it clicks into a new angle.

CAUTION! Do not force the headrest beyond its stopping points. Ensure it is locked before leaning against it.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your headrest.

WARNING! Do not disassemble the headrest cushion. The cover is not designed for routine removal by the consumer.
