Installation Preparation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Ensure you have the correct tools and a suitable countertop.

  1. Check Contents: Sink, template, 4 mounting brackets, screws, installation manual.
  2. Required Tools: Pencil, tape measure, jigsaw with fine-tooth blade, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, silicone sealant (100% silicone, not included), caulking gun.
  3. Countertop Requirements: Solid, level surface (laminate, wood, stone). Minimum cabinet interior width: 30 3/4" (780mm).
  4. Clear Workspace: Remove items from under the cabinet. Turn off water supply if connecting faucet immediately.

WARNING! Wear safety glasses and gloves when cutting countertop. Ensure the cabinet can support the sink's weight (approx. 15.4 lbs plus water and dishes).

Step-by-Step Installation

Follow these steps carefully for proper installation.

  1. Position Template: Place the paper template on the countertop where the sink will be installed. Ensure it is centered and has adequate clearance from the back and sides. Tape it down securely.
  2. Mark Cutout: Trace the inner outline of the template onto the countertop with a pencil.
  3. Cut Countertop: Drill a starter hole inside the marked area. Using a jigsaw with a fine-tooth blade, carefully cut along the marked line. Support the cutout piece to prevent it from falling.
  4. Test Fit: Place the sink into the cutout without sealant to ensure it fits properly. It should sit flush and level.
  5. Apply Sealant: Run a continuous bead of 100% silicone sealant along the underside of the sink's rim (the part that will contact the countertop).
  6. Mount Sink: Lower the sink into the cutout. Press down firmly to ensure good contact and seal.
  7. Secure with Brackets: From underneath, attach the mounting brackets to the pre-drilled holes on the sink's underside. Tighten the screws to clamp the sink securely to the countertop. Do not overtighten.
  8. Clean Excess Sealant: Wipe away any squeezed-out silicone with a damp cloth before it dries.

CAUTION! Allow the silicone sealant to cure fully (as per manufacturer's instructions, typically 24 hours) before connecting plumbing or putting weight on the sink.

Specifications

Mounting and Sealing

Proper mounting and sealing are critical to prevent leaks and ensure stability.

Mounting Brackets: Four brackets are provided. Attach them evenly around the sink's underside, aligning with the holes. Tighten screws alternately and gradually to apply even pressure. The sink should feel solid and not rock.

Sealing: Use a high-quality, 100% silicone sealant suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. Apply a 1/4" (6mm) thick bead. The sealant must be waterproof and mold-resistant. Ensure the bead is continuous with no gaps.

Check for Level: Use a spirit level on the sink rim after installation. Shims may be used under the brackets if the countertop is not perfectly level.

Connecting Plumbing

Connect the drain and faucet after the sealant has cured.

  1. Install Faucet: Insert the faucet through the pre-drilled hole. Secure it from underneath according to the faucet manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Connect Water Lines: Attach flexible water supply lines from the faucet to the hot and cold water shut-off valves. Hand-tighten, then use an adjustable wrench for a final quarter-turn. Do not overtighten.
  3. Install Drain Assembly: Follow the instructions provided with your drain kit. Apply plumber's putty or silicone under the drain flange before inserting it into the sink's drain hole. Tighten the locknut from underneath.
  4. Connect P-Trap: Attach the tailpiece to the drain, then connect the P-trap to the tailpiece and the wall drain pipe. Ensure all connections are hand-tight plus a quarter-turn with pliers.
  5. Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply. Let water run into the sink and check all connections (faucet, supply lines, drain, P-trap) for leaks. Tighten slightly if necessary.

Tip: Place a bucket under the P-trap during initial testing to catch any drips.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will maintain the sink's appearance and longevity.

CAUTION! Do not use chlorine-based cleaners or leave acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar, tomato sauce) sitting in the sink for prolonged periods.

Safety Information

Read all instructions before installation and use.
