Safety Instructions
WARNING! Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or damage.
- Wall Strength: Mount only to solid walls (wood studs, concrete, brick). Do not mount solely to drywall/plaster without proper anchors.
- Weight Limit: Do not exceed maximum load per shelf (see Specifications). Distribute weight evenly.
- Child Safety: Do not allow children to climb on shelves. Secure heavy items on higher shelves.
- Two-Person Job: Assembly and mounting may require two people to safely handle parts.
- Tool Safety: Use tools properly; wear safety glasses if drilling.
Assembly Steps
Assemble components before mounting to wall.
- Lay Out Parts: Unpack and identify all parts using the Parts List.
- Attach Brackets to Uprights: Hook shelf brackets into desired slots on uprights. Use included Allen key to tighten locking screws on brackets.
- Place Shelves: Rest shelf boards on top of installed brackets. Ensure they are centered and secure.
- Check Stability: Gently test assembly on floor before wall mounting.
Tip: Assemble on a soft surface (carpet, blanket) to avoid scratching parts.
Wall Mounting Guide
Proper mounting is critical for safety.
- Locate Studs: Use stud finder to locate wooden wall studs. Mark center of each stud with pencil.
- Plan Layout: Decide height and spacing of uprights. Use level and tape measure to mark drilling points. Uprights must be level and parallel.
- Drill Pilot Holes: At marked points, drill pilot holes slightly smaller than wall anchors/screws. For studs, drill directly into wood.
- Insert Anchors: For drywall without stud, tap plastic wall anchors into holes until flush with wall.
- Mount Uprights: Align upright with holes. Insert and tighten screws using drill/screwdriver. Do not overtighten.
- Final Check: Ensure uprights are firmly attached and level. Apply gentle downward pressure to test.
CAUTION! If you hit electrical wiring or plumbing, stop immediately and choose a new location.
Shelf Configuration Options
The BOAXEL system is highly customizable.
- Adjustable Height: Brackets can be placed in any slot on uprights, allowing shelves to be spaced as needed.
- Multiple Widths: Shelves can be placed at different depths by using different bracket positions.
- Combination Use: Can be combined with other BOAXEL components (baskets, hooks) for added functionality.
- Room Versatility: Suitable for living room, bedroom, office, garage, or entryway storage.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
| Shelf is not level | Uprights not level during mounting; Brackets not in same slots | Remount uprights using a level; Ensure brackets are inserted at equal height on both sides. |
| Shelf feels wobbly | Loose screws; Not mounted into studs; Overloaded | Tighten all screws; Remount into wall studs or use heavier-duty anchors; Reduce weight on shelf. |
| Brackets won't stay in uprights | Locking screw not tightened | Use included Allen key to firmly tighten the locking screw on each bracket. |
| Can't find wall studs | Stud spacing irregular; Tool error | Use multiple methods to find studs (knocking, measuring from corner); Consult building plans if available. Use appropriate wall anchors for hollow walls. |
| Shelf board slides off bracket | No anti-slip pad; Board not centered | Apply small felt pads or rubber bumpers to bracket tops; Center shelf board on brackets. |
